Swift Alarms Group's Revolutionary Fog Cannon Burglary Prevention System

Whilst rapid detection and the sounding of an alarm is fine for the majority of premises, when high level risks are involved, preventing a theft from occurring and ensuring the rapid dispersal of intruders from the premises should always be the primary aim. This is where the Swift Alarms 'Fog Cannon' range of protection comes into its own.

The system is designed to operate with automatic alarms, so as to afford high levels of protection when the premises are unoccupied and personal attack systems, so as to provide that extra level of protection to both staff and property in the event of an attempted raid or hold-up.

In its most simple form, when activated, the system produces a near instantaneous dense blanket of fog, which is highly disorienting for the intruder and makes it virtually impossible to see what they would like to steal. In fact when an intruder sees the 'Fog Cannon's' thick layer of fog rapidly advancing upon them, they invariably flee the scene before they are able to steal anything.

Where more advanced levels of protection are required, the system can be configured so as to operate very high intensity strobes and high volume, high frequency sound systems which make it virtually impossible to remain within the protected area.

The system is designed so as to operate on a confirmed alarm basis, which all but eliminates false activations of the system. This means that not less than two automatic alarm detection devices or a twin button personal attack alarm device have to be operated before the system is triggered.

The 'fog' produced by the system is non-toxic, odourless and does not leave any residue and is quickly dispersed by ventilating the area.

The system provides an excellent additional level of security for higher risk retail outlets such as Jewellers and is also highly effective in cash handling operations. The system is also frequently used within supermarkets and department stores to protect specific high risk areas, such as those selling electronic goods, tobacco and alcohol. The system has also been proven to be highly effective in preventing serious thefts when implemented within high risk, high value warehouses, particularly when they are located in more remote industrial developments where police or guard response times may be considerable.
