Monitoring
Swift
Alarms Group provides a variety of remote alarm and CCTV monitoring
services to suit all risks and all budgets; from a simple key-holder
only response service through to sophisticated, fully monitored systems
communicating through our alarm receiving centre (ARC) to the emergency
services.
INTRUDER ALARMS
Home Response
This is our most cost-effective service and is specifically designed
for the home owner who has a low to medium risk property and would
probably normally have opted for a more simple audible only alarm
system.
This system normally uses the property's existing
telephone line to communicate with the Swift ARC. When the alarm is
activated, a coded electronic signal is received by our ARC who will
then follow pre-agreed actions and will contact up to three key-holders
to ensure that the premises are attended and that the appropriate
actions are taken.
Where a customer doesn't have key-holders
available locally, we are happy to assist them in finding a suitable
professional key-holding service close to where they live.
Digital communicator
This system utilizes a standard telephone line to communicate with the Swift ARC; ideally this should be a dedicated outgoing calls only line. However, any conventional telephone line is able to support this service. When the alarm is activated, a coded electronic signal is received by our ARC who will then follow pre-agreed actions and will contact up to three key-holders together with the police so as to ensure that the premises are attended and that the appropriate actions are taken.
RedCare
This is a secure single path signalling system using BT's RedCare network to signal our ARC. Unlike a digital communicator, the telephone line used for this service is permanently monitored by our ARC for interference or failure. In the event of a line fault being signalled to us, the key-holders would be alerted. When the alarm is activated, a coded electronic signal is received by our ARC who will then follow pre-agreed actions and will contact up to three key-holders together with the police so as to ensure that the premises are attended and that the appropriate actions are taken.
Dualcom
This system provides a secure dual path signalling system. It uses the combination of a standard telephone line and the World Sim cellular telephone network to signal our ARC. Any attempt to interfere with or failure of the radio signalling path would be immediately notified to our ARC via the connected telephone line. When the alarm is activated, a digital coded electronic signal is received by our ARC who will then follow pre-agreed actions and will contact up to three key-holders together with the police so as to ensure that the premises are attended and that the appropriate actions are taken.
IP based signalling systems
In addition to the traditional signalling systems above, we are able to provide a range of signalling systems that communicate via broadband and over the internet. By their very nature, these systems do not require potentially expensive dedicated telephone lines; neither do their signals generate any call charges. Our technical staff are able to advise our clients as to the suitability of implementation of these systems; this is ultimately dependant upon the data communications structure present within each client's premises.
Fire alarms
With the exception of our Home Response service, all of the signalling systems described above are equally suitable for the transmission of a fire alarm signal. Where both fire and intruder alarm systems are installed at a single location, then a single alarm signalling system can be implemented to operate with both systems.
BMS & plant monitoring
With the exception of our Home response service, all of the signalling systems described above may be used to alert our ARC to signals generated by a BMS system or other plant. An interface is fitted between the equipment being monitored and the alarm signalling system; in the event of failure or operation of a piece of plant, a specific signal is generated and transmitted to our ARC. Nominated key-holders, engineers or other agreed persons are then contacted by our ARC so that the appropriate action may be taken. Sprinkler systems, mains supplies, UPS systems, generators, freezers, computer rooms, essential building services and safety systems are frequently monitored by our BMS monitoring systems.
CCTV
Swift Alarms Group offers a broad range of equipment that enables
even the very simplest of our CCTV systems to be remotely monitored.
From a simple dial-up facility that allows our customers to view their
CCTV system on their PC from almost anywhere in the world to high
security motion activated monitoring systems connected to our ARC. When
movement is detected inside or outside a client's premises, images from
the appropriate camera are immediately transmitted to our ARC enabling
them to take the appropriate action without delay. Our most
sophisticated systems enable our ARC operators to talk back to the site
via a purpose installed public address system; this can prove invaluable
in deterring a criminal from continuing with his actions by alerting
him to the fact that he is being both observed and recorded.
Monitoring
charges for our intruder alarm systems start from around £0.10 per day,
so why would you install an unmonitored alarm system?
